How to Reuse Your Handmade Press-On Nails Without Damaging Them

Can You Really Wear Your Press-Ons More Than Once?

Absolutely! 💕

One of the best things about handmade Sheek Nails is that they’re designed to be worn again and again!

With proper care, your favourite sets can last through multiple wears. The secret? Gentle removal, a little TLC and storing them properly between uses.

Here’s how to keep your press-ons looking fabulous!

Step 1: Remove Them Gently

Want to reuse your favourite set? Gentle removal is key!

Soak your nails in warm, soapy water with a little cuticle oil for 10–15 minutes to help loosen the adhesive.

Once they begin to lift, gently ease them away from the sides. If they’re still holding on, continue soaking. Never force or pull them off.

Step 2: Remove Any Leftover Adhesive

Step 2: Remove Any Leftover Adhesive

A little leftover adhesive? No worries! Here’s how to get your press-ons ready for their next wear. 💕

If you used adhesive tabs: Gently peel or roll away any remaining adhesive from the underside of your press-ons.

If you used nail glue: Carefully buff away any excess glue from the underside of the nail, only if needed. Be gentle and avoid thinning the nail or damaging the decorated surface.

TIP: Always make sure your press-ons are clean and completely dry before storing them.

Step 3: Clean Your Press-Ons

Before wearing your favourite set again, make sure your press-ons are clean and free from leftover adhesive.

Gently wipe the underside with a little 70% isopropyl alcohol, provided it’s compatible with your nail materials, and allow them to dry completely before reapplying.

A little TLC helps keep your nails looking their best for their next wear!

Step 4: Store Your Press-Ons Safely

Want to keep your favourite Sheek Nails looking fabulous for their next wear? A little care goes a long way!

  • Keep them in their original box or a storage case to protect them from dust and damage.
  • Store somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight and heat.
  • Keep your nails organised so they’re easy to find when you’re ready to wear them again.
  • Avoid damp areas, such as bathrooms, where moisture can affect your nails.

And that’s it! Your favourite set is ready and waiting for its next outing. 💕

How Many Times Can You Reuse a Set?

The beauty of handmade press-ons? They’re not just a one-time thing!

With proper care, your Sheek Nails can be worn multiple times. Some sets may last for 3–5 wears or even longer, depending on how they’re applied, removed and looked after.

For the best chance of getting more wears out of your set, adhesive tabs are a great option as they’re generally easier to remove without damaging the nails.

More wears, more fabulous nail days! ✨

When It's Time for a New Set

Even your favourite press-ons can’t last forever!

It’s time to say goodbye to a nail when:

  • It’s cracked, chipped or damaged.
  • There’s too much glue build-up underneath.
  • The gel colour or top coat has started lifting.
  • The nail no longer fits comfortably or securely.

When it’s time for something fresh, there’s always another gorgeous Sheek Nails set waiting to be discovered! ✨
